Don't Get Lazy: Pre-Season Is Closer Than You Think

This time of the year is crucial in the world of cheerleading. During the spring through the end of the school year it is super easy to go out with friends, eat unhealthy, and not hit the gym to work on your skills. Remember when you are about to grab that PopTart instead of an apple whether it is the smart decision for your body and your cheer career. This is also the time of the year to buckle down and get the skills you want for the upcoming preseason. Show your coach what you have been working on while the rest of your team has been slacking!

High School Coach of the Month

Kim Gaskin is the head coach for Burlington Township High School and Middle School cheerleading. She has one of the biggest hearts in the sport and treats everyone like her own daughter. Gaskin is also a risk taker. Her first year she took the team to UCA nationals, their highest standing tumbling and running tumbling was a forward roll. People questioned her motives, but from there she has been devoted to her team and now they are 3 time National Champions! Way to go Kim!
